behind the scenes

What actually happens on your big day?

We start the day at the bride's house, relaxing with the entourage in the morning, taking shots of the preparation, the details of the dress and, in general, the increasing excitement and anticipation.

We can then take shots at the groom's preparation area, documenting the guys as they prepare for the big day.

We then move to the ceremony venue, taking group shots of the groom's party as they await the arrival of the bride.

During the ceremony we take reportage shots of the ceremony without flash, capturing the true ambience of the venue and your ceremony. This is primarily black and white photography of the complete ceremony.

Once the formal ceremony has finished we capture the formal shots the register signing and then we let you come out and celebrate with your family and friends again, capturing the emotion and moments in a completely relaxed way. Once you have had time with your family we will take some group shots and immediate formal family portraits. Once this is done we will take the bride and groom to take some shots together.

At this point, if you would like a second photographer to be involved then they will be able to photograph candid shots of the guests while Michael will shoot pictures of the wedding party.

We then move to the reception venue where we will take both formal and candid shots of the guests until the cutting of the cake.

Optionally, we can stay on for the first dance and the evening reception.

We aim to be unobtrusive at all times. Once we take the formal portraits and group shots, the rest of the day is yours.
